Winter Storm Warning for Southeast Middlesex County, MAThis morning when I asked about a contingency plan for one of tomorrow's meetings (saying that _I_ would be here, but I wasn't sure anyone else would be), he was all, "The weather's unpredictable..." but when he left this afternoon he said to call him tomorrow morning about whether I was coming in or not (I reiterated that probably I of all people would in fact make it in to the office).

... WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 3 PM EST WEDNESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 3 PM EST WEDNESDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
THIS WARNING COVERS THE GREATER BOSTON AREA AND INTO NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND. THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES AND TOWNS OF FOXBORO... NORWOOD... CAMBRIDGE... BOSTON... QUINCY... FOSTER AND SMITHFIELD.
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVER SPREAD THE REGION FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST BETWEEN 4 AM AND 7 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING. ONCE THE SNOW BEGINS... IT WILL FALL HEAVILY AT TIMES DURING THE MORNING. SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 INCH PER HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE MORNING. THE SNOW WILL QUICKLY ACCUMULATE ON ROADWAYS... RESULTING IN POOR VISIBILITIES AND HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.
BY EARLY AFTERNOON SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE 4 TO 7 INCHES ACROSS THE WARNING AREA. AS THE AFTERNOON PROGRESSES SNOW WILL CHANGE TO SLEET AND POSSIBLY SOME FREEZING RAIN... CREATING HAZARDOUS TRAVEL POSSIBLY INTO THE LATE DAY COMMUTE... ESPECIALLY IN THE I495 CORRIDOR. A CHANGE TO ALL RAIN IS EXPECTED ALONG AND EAST OF I-95.
ANYONE TRAVELING ON WEDNESDAY SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR RAPIDLY DETERIORATING CONDITIONS... WITH SNOW COVERED ROADWAYS AND POOR VISIBILITIES.
A WINTER STORM WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN AN AVERAGE OF 6 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED IN A 12 HOUR PERIOD... OR FOR 8 OR MORE INCHES IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD. TRAVEL WILL BE SLOW AT BEST ON WELL TREATED SURFACES... AND QUITE DIFFICULT ON ANY UNPLOWED OR UNTREATED SURFACES.
I was actually surprised that we didn't get any official emails reiterating the University's Inclement Weather Policy or anything.

Five good things about today:
1. we successfully fit all the meetings we needed to into tomorrow -- though it's going to snow, so...
2. porn is my coping mechanism
3. cranberry juice
4. gummi letters (yes, I'm sure they have gelatin, but...)
5. going to bed early
Three things I did well today:
1. [gym] 30+min weight room
2. I made the tables format the want I wanted/needed them to in Powerpoint.
3. I finally actually left feedback on (some of) Ari's holiday fics.
Bonus: I washed dishes.
Two things I am looking forward to (doing [better]) tomorrow:
["anything that you're looking forward to, that means you're facing tomorrow with joy, not trepidation," as Ari says]
1. Rest and Bread service
2. hearing about [redacted, v. 2.5?]
Bonus: feeling less tired
