Last week having been a holiday week, today I felt like it was Tuesday or something.

MikeS. says you can set your phone to not accept incoming calls (sample uses: so you can give it to your kid and they can call 911 but can't get any incoming calls; Airplane Mode), and he's done it himself accidentally just messing around with settings.  (I do not think this is relevant to this particular situation, but it is information I did not know -- I assumed you had to put in a special request to the provider or something.)

Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
     -"You Are Mine" (David Haas)

Five good things about today:
1. Ravioli at the pasta station!  (And the pasta guy -- whose name escapes me [edit: Felipe] -- knew I would want ravioli :)  I'm used to him remembering that I want alfredo+pesto as sauce, but this was bonus.)
2. I joined Katie and MikeS. for lunch, and other folks joined later, and I didn't feel cranky or stressed out.
3. Except for drafting an email in my head as I walked to the T this morning, I don't think I really had bouts of having to stave off obsessive spirals.
4. The treacherous overnight freeze had (nearly all) disappeared when I came home from work.
5. My mom emailed me, and it was NOT bad news.  "Bev realized at some point Friday night that not going to Singspiration meant she didn't get to see you :) She was much grieved."
Bev's 65th birthday party is next Sunday at UCN, and I really can't make it with my church commitments, so she and Ginny (who live together ... in a gen way -- it makes my queer soul sad) will have to come visit me sometime (which we have talked about a number of times), and I told my mom I was sad that my apartment wasn't more obviously queer (yes, I'm a brat -- I tend to be too cowardly to actually come out to UCN folks, but I really like being That Girl).
My mom joked: "You just wait, you'll marry some nice male you meet in the elevator and have 2.5 kids and a dog."
My reply: "And then I will make extra efforts to have a visibly queer home, lest anyone mistake me for [strike]normal[/strike] straight :)"
My mom: "Hee hee.  Then I'll see about making you a homosexual.  I think of that quote everytime I sit down to knit."  HEART!
[One year when I was in college, my mom got me a Queer Quote-A-Day calendar, and I believe it was the January 1 one that was: "My mother made me a homosexual, and if you give her some yarn she'll make you one too. (Quentin Crisp)"  For years, I had that page up on my door -- in college and in my first apartment; I love it a lot.  I probably should decorate my bedroom door here.]
Edit: Megan-mjules said, "I'd ask you to get your mother to make me a homosexual, but I think my Mom already did it." Loff. /edit
BONUS: Despite not getting a whole lot of sleep two nights in a row, I didn't really feel tired all day.

Three things I did well today:
1. I got up with my alarm and did all my at-home morning stuff and went to the [gym] 45min treadmill (4.0mph, 1.5incline)
2. I replied to L.'s email/s and finally finished my reply email to the Reunion pastor (I redrafted the penultimate paragraph a whole bunch of times as Yahoo kept having issues sending my email).
3. I made dinner rather than (just) eating peanut M&M's.  Eating from the big bag of Peanut M&M's, I was recalling how I used to do that in college, and thinking about how I've gotten really conscious of things possibly being coping mechanisms (thanks to having friends who are actualfax crazy); I approve of self-awareness.
BONUS: Paid credit card bills (and also remembered to add money to my HUID -- I had under $10 on it by the end of the day today).

Two things I am looking forward to (doing [better]) tomorrow:
["anything that you're looking forward to, that means you're facing tomorrow with joy, not trepidation," as Ari says]
1. I do not have any post-work obligations.
2. The fact that there's nothing making me anxious about tomorrow.
