signs of spring: insects are out

It's Good Friday on the Orthodox calendar.  Though it's actually turned out to be a rather good day when last I heard.  /cryptic

"Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come.  You wait and watch and work: you don't give up." --Anne Lamott

Five good things about today:
1. a situation going well for a friend
2. chatting with Kate about Episcopalianism and such
3. Paul uninstalled my corrupted Windows indexer and reinstalled and set it up to run over the weekend, so I should have fully functional email search \o/
4. He also gave me Adobe Acrobat Professional 9.0 (I had 6.0), which I'm not sure I actually need but is shiny.
5. getting affirmed by someone else that I was "restrained" in replying to someone :)

Three things I did well today:
1. I got up with my alarm and ate breakfast at home for all the good it did me given that I vomited on the way to the T *eyeroll* and went to the [gym] 45min treadmill (4.2mph. 2.0incline -- I was more physically tired than I was on Wednesday, but I pushed through)
2. I ordered Much Ado tickets (Sat. Apr. 23 matinee ... Table L)  Wow, I hadn't realized how expensive tickets are.  Cate and I are subscribers, and I did the "bring a friend" for Allie: Allie's ticket was $38, which is what the cheap seats cost -- our premium seats would have been $47/each if bought straight; subscription for next year is $138 (for 4 shows, that means I'm paying $34.50 for my premium seat each show).
3. I actually came up with a constructive suggestion in the WGC participation discussion.
4. I red-penned the Golden case.  (After class, Prof.B. told me I should come to this class next year, and his spiel intrigued me, so I read the most recent version of the case.)
5. I did laundry and washed dishes and took in the recycling bin.

Two things I am looking forward to (doing [better]) tomorrow:
["anything that you're looking forward to, that means you're facing tomorrow with joy, not trepidation," as Ari says]
1. Allie
2. being more well-rested (though I think I've actually been mostly fine this week, but now that I get to relax and am not wrapped up in other things, sleep is seeming rather appealing)
