and for something completely different...

wisdomeagle has been talking about soliciting prompts for wingfic. Some of the prompts are kind of awesome.

Browsing masterlists, I was like, "This sounds like Good Omens! Yay! Only, it's bandom boyslash, and why would I read that?"

Apparently I am entirely enticed by the idea of wingfic in Supernatural -- a show I don't watch or even really follow and for which I barely read any fic -- while still being uninterested in the idea of wingfic for most (all?) of my actual fandoms (except when provided with specific awesome ideas, e.g. noelia_g's prompt above).

Speaking of Supernatural fic, is this not the best fic title ever? "teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above" (via musesfool's delicious)
Edited to add (because Lorraine correctly points out that even with all my churchgoing, one might be hesitant to make assumptions about which hymns I know due to the wide variation across churches/denominations): I began singing the hymn immediately upon reading the title.
