mmm... brain full... must sleep...

IM conversation after i put up my last post:

offbalance: wow...no WONDER you were so quiet
hermionesviolin: :-P Had done most of it these past couple days. I love that when i post something massive i end up editing it for like a half an hour to catch all the glitches.
offbalance: *nod*
offbalance: still, wow. so balanced, and informed. you're every empty-headed loudmouth 'activist's' worst nightmare. :-D
hermionesviolin: aww *blushes*
offbalance: seriously though. it's nice to see that not everyone goes along with whatever side they were raised to believe, and actually take the time to research and learn and figure out where their loyalties/feelings lie
hermionesviolin: The fact that i was raised by a "Democrat with a brain" (my mom) and a "Republican with a heart" (my father) helps -- i.e. i wasn't exactly raised in just one side. My gut reaction tends to be pacifistic, liberal, etc., but there's also my dad's voice (and often times lots of e-mails with interesting articles) to remind me to see both sides. Makes figuring out where i stand kinda frustrating (is so much easier to be brought up on a side and just stay there) but i know of course the fighting to balance counterviewpoints is infinitely more rewarding and makes me a better person and all.
offbalance: *nods*
