"The key element? Coffee makers that think."

We had found our voices and with them the confidence that we had voices and could wait, if someone else was talking, without feeling anxious.

I was thinking, when Ria and Sophie and Marnie were writing their rebuttal to the Sophian piece, that we have in theory at least 3 literary magazines on campus (well, one is a 5-College deal) but only one newspaper. People bitch about the Sophian, but whereas people created new literary magazines when one didn’t exist, or didn’t exist to their satisfaction, no one (to my knowledge) has attempted an alternative to the Sophian. I find that interesting. Not that i’m advocating an alternative -- i’m inclined to support working within the system, particularly with someone such as this -- i just think it’s interesting.

Yes, this is what i do at 1:30 in the morning. Post quotes from my Women’s Studies readings and pointless ramblings when really i should be in bed or something.
