Completed my tour of the Disney canon of fairy tale films. Cinderella is the one that makes me want to take a sledgehammer to my skull. Its base archetype is the one that gets me screaming, so it's not like it had an auspicious start.
On the plus side, i still think the snow-capped landscape outside is beautiful.
So, i watched Tru Calling for the first time tonight. Wow, ripping off Early Edition (and other Chosen One narratives like Buffy -- big surprise) hardcore.
So, we (my father and i) watched the second half of WWE Smackdown tonight 'cause March Madness meant no CSI. Yes, pro-wrestling is my not-so-secret shame. I watched "back in the day" of Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Randy Savage, that crew, and then WWF moved to cable. I watched Smackdown a few years after it started and then stopped when i got to college (no TV in my room) and it has gone so far downhill since even my high school years. (Nevermind the horrible degredation of everyone, they stopped having good storylines!) But i still watch on occasion, and at the end tonight, Undertaker's gong sounded, and he came down in a long black coat and hat and with Paul Bearer and i squeed. Badass Undertaker is a pretty damn cool character i have to admit, but nothing beats old skool Undertaker.
