Giles on a horse, need i say more? [muzakgurrl]

dragged onto the bandwagon(s)...

That holiday_wishes meme is going around. I’ve pimped my fandomwishlist list before, but i finally broke down and did an actual wishlist.

In no particular order...
1. fic
2. additional paid time/extra icon time
3. feedback on my fic
4. a layout for the website i will eventually have
5. Angel or Firefly on DVD
6. chocolate
7. for people to engage in rational, dispassioned, thoughtful discourse [This, of course, is my most desired and least likely to happen item.]
8. more hugs/platonic physical touch (cuddling, etc.)
9. a theremin
10. mix CDs (or burns or used copies of full CDs) - get me into the music you love

Not that i expect anyone to actually send me anything, but if you want it, my address is: Collapse )

Oh how very me.

If there is at least one person in your life who you consider a close friend, and who you would not have met without being part of an online fandom, post this sentence in your journal.

[English major wonders if those shouldn’t be whom rather than who.]

"she will be loved..."

I think i might have actually done a couple hours of "real" work at SCMA today. Stacey's trying to figure out what else i can do for her, which is fine by me. I spent much time chatting, which was not the best use of my time, but... ::loves on people:: There were rumors of coffee with Stacey, which would be uber-cool. And i accomplished my Pornoprophetics reaction paper. Oh the multitudes of things that are wrong with that article. I managed to keep it to just a couple of pages, though. Go me.

Also from the day:

Accomplished various errands. Was awake all day save a few minutes dozing in Bible class.

Dinner was unappetizing, so i went to the Campus Center, where i saw Allie -- whom i had seen in the CC earlier that day when i went to get my mail. Me in the loathed CC twice in one day? Clearly a sign of the apocalypse.

I remembered to go to my penultimate Self-Defense class. Yeah "practical exam." And getting let out early.

Must write applicant statement etc. for Illinois tonight so i can mail it all out tomorrow. Would rather like to take a nap instead. And it's only 9:30!

Yeah LJ party on my door :)

One of the messages i came home to yesterday was:

     Hermione'sViolin, Your door is
     awesome! -pardalis05 :)

And then today i came home after work to:

     marauderthesn agrees
cc sexeh crouch [wickedripeplum]

(I have so few hot-people icons.)

Stephanie Romanov is sex.

She has an unfortunate habit of being in movies i either have no interest in watching or which don't get a summary on IMDb. I do wanna catch up on the TV appearances i missed out on, though. And i am not ashamed of my love for Models, Inc. If that ever comes out on DVD, i am so there.

Ignorant geek moment. When a woman's "measurements" are given (e.g. Measurements: 36-24½-35), what does each number refer to? I mean, i know, but i don't know the order.

It amuses me that i find out about coming attractions through the front page of IMDb when i pull it up to look something up. I also learn amusing things like:
Lucas Wants TV 'Star Wars' Film Banned
Moviemaker George Lucas wants his first Star Wars sequel banned, as he is so disappointed with its quality. The one-off, two-hour-long The Star Wars Holiday Special was originally screened on the CBS network in 1978 and tells the story of Chewbacca's journey home with Hans Solo to celebrate Life Day with his family. During the course of the much-maligned movie, Carrie Fisher's beautiful Leia is seen reducing Hans Solo and Luke Skywalker to tears with a song. A contributor on the Star Wars website comments, "The Holiday Special has always been the red-headed step child of the Star Wars family." While a source at LucasFilm adds, "The Holiday Special was the biggest f***-up ever. The Force was definitely not with Mr. Lucas the day that doozy was born."
