"Let it rain, let it rain, let it ra-in" (Bruce Springsteen, "Mary's Place")

I didn't bring an umbrella when we went out to lunch today (though I was wearing long sleeves and "my long black coat hanging down in the dirt and my hair clinging to my face in the rain"), and it really didn't start raining heavily until we were back in front of our building (so I vetoed my field trip to Rock to see if they had #5 envelopes yet).  I did use my umbrella walking to the T, but getting off at Norwood it was so windy I felt why bother, and it actually wasn't raining that heavily, and my hair wet and blown in my face was so enjoyable and somewhat primal and just glorious.  I'd forgotten how much I enjoy coming home all drownedratty (though really I was only damp).
