Time Event
Apropos the recent discussion, the next day I read Megan McArdle's post "Should I call myself a feminist?" [from back in July] -- and have now added Kenji Yoshino's Covering: The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights to my GoodReads (at which time I noticed that there's now a line for "How many times I've read this book" :) ).  Megan McArdle and commentors; also: Camille PagliaCollapse )
Yes, my actual life is sometimes just this exciting.
I slept for like 12 hours and feel much better.  (I went to bed around 8:30 last night and woke up at 7:50 this morning.)

I picked up a few groceries -- fulfilling my get-out-of-the-house-and-walk-somewhere quota for the day.  I went out around noon and it was warmer out than I expected (though weather.com said 73F).  It took me under 35min to walk home from the Shaw's in Porter.  Color me impressed.  I got all sweaty, but it wasn't too bad.

Speaking of economics... I did my econ reading tonight (Ch. 1-2 of Mankiw's Essentials of Economics, fourth edition).  Read more...Collapse )
