Well my trip to Philly has been officially declared a no-go, which is probably for the best. I still feel bad, though.

I was really tired from about Thursday through Sunday, which i blame on my period, so my weekend was mostly reading and making mix CDs. Massive (well, substantial anyway) post office trip earlier today, including sending out mix CDs to saava, sk8eeyore, and oatmilk. I also have CDs for athene, sexonastick, and stumbledhere. I need addresses for the latter two, and Allison will get hers when i get back to NoHo.

I’ve been feeling anti-social recently, which is one of the reasons i haven’t been on AIM much.

I think i’ve been hiding myself away inside nonfiction recently because i really don’t want to deal with going through all my crap -- what to take back to Smith, what to leave here, what to just get rid of.

Am acquiring a long list of books to get next time i go to the library. There are Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America by Barbara Ehrenreich and Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? by Beverly Daniel Tatum because i’m going back to Smith. There are My Goodness: A Cynic's Short-Lived Search For Sainthood by Joe Queenan and Eden Built By Eves: The Culture Of Women's Music Festivals by Bonnie J. Morris because i saw them in a bookstore in New York. Then there’s a list of books along the lines of Lies My Teacher Told Me and one of books critiquing modern feminism. Sadly, of course, there’s no way i’m gonna get even half of it all read before heading back to the land of assigned reading.

GroupWise doesn’t want to work tonight. Sigh.
