Snow Amounts From The Blizzard:
Snow has been a big factor in the Blizzard of 2005. The storm has come to an end in the Plains, but high winds are causing dangerous travel due to blowing and drifting snow. Snowfall amounts of 6 to 12 inches will be common from Wisconsin through the lower Great Lakes into the Northeast, with an area of 12 to 18 inches in and around Chicago, and from Philadelphia to coastal Maine. The heaviest snow will fall in southeastern most New England, where 3 feet or more will have fallen before all is said and done.
