And I ain't done nothing since I woke up today.
How the hell can a person go to work in the morning
And come home in the evening and have nothing to say
-from "Angel in Montgomery" by John Prine

I hauled myself out of bed at 8:26 for a baby-sitting job which ended up not happening.
During breakfast i realized that my watch had stopped around 1am. This watch was a graduation gift last year. I haven't even had it an entire year yet and the battery is dead. :(
I took a nap from about 10-12.
I found out why certain symbols no longer showed up in my livejournal entries. Changing my setting to Western European made it all better, though.
I did various errands, including handing in my Othello paper. I think it might actually have been be too hot and humid to read or (much less) do work outside today. I need to get summer shoes. Much as i love my boots, they are too warm for much walking in the hot and the humid. (White canvas slip-ons are my summer shoe of choice, but i'm considering black ones for this summer.) The weather's good for my hair, though. So much better than dry (and windy) winter weather.
I am debating whether i should go to the W. A. M. Festival.
I vacuumed.
I'm really glad that Doug is requiring a brief plan for what we're doing our final paper on for tomorrow. It (A) forced me to actually pick a topic and do research and (B) is forcing me to think about just what exactly i want to do this paper on. I knew i wanted to work with gender in language, but that's incredibly broad. I've decided to focus on how people perceive issues of gender in language.
Finally a new episode of Angel tonight. Um, wow. There is more to be said, but i think Sharon and i will cover all of it.
