CSI 6.05 "Gum Drops"

Mmm, dark lighting and evocative music.  Plus girlwhisper.  NO AUDIENCE TALKING DURING MY SHOWS. EVER. THE END.

Really liked the shots of Sara in the desert light in her car.

"There's no blood to step in if you're first."

"Do I get a gold star?" ♥

"I found something."
"Is it the bodies?"
Oh Greg's excitement.

boats . . . is there anything Greg doesn't know? ;)

Greg's Yoko Ono comment felt unduly harsh.  I liked that Tina was useful, though, and loved Sara's "Does Yoko Ono want a job?" comment.

The Nick/Sara conversation about giving up, being rescued, etc. was well done.  "I don't think it was Cassie's day."  This made me giggle internally because Cassie was the name of the blond chick in the Buffy episode "Help" who knew the exact day she was going to die.

gum . . . Hansel & Gretel . . . "Dead bodies don't suck their thumbs"

Um, Nick? You are not allowed to physically attack suspects. Ever. kthxbie.

Knife wound to the throat plus dehydration and the girl lived?  I totally thought she was dead when Nick found her and she had all those spots on her pale pale skin.

Sage's "third eye" comment, combined with Nick hearing Cassie explaining things in that early scene [though of course it was left ambiguous whether he was imagining things or the audience was getting treated to Cassie voice while he looked silently or just what] discomfited me because it felt too supernatural for this show; I should have known it would turn out to be her doing a voice over at the end of the episode.

Loved her card, and her writing [verb, though also noun], and her insisting on not being babied, and Nick being honest with her and struggling to keep his composure (such a great job of having tears breaking through his voice just a smidge).
