Without a Trace 4.07 "The Innocents"

“You’re lying. Very festive of you. [...] Also, there’s cake.” [It would be awful of me to make a holiday icon with this quote, huh? Edit a few hours later: I am a bad person.]

I was accidentally spoiled for the fact that Elena has a kid, but that meant that I caught her lookaway of disgust when they get the folder of kiddie pics at Bill’s house.

6 year old daughter, sends her to Catholic school (which is what Jack did with his daughters, right? at least, I seem to recall them wearing uniforms) they are so messing with the version of Elena I had invented in my head (so maybe I really will just write self-indulgent out-of-character Elena/Sam -- since it’s not like anyone but me is ever gonna read it anyway *looks around for ff_shiprecs*)

I really liked the multiple layers of people not being who they seemed -- Bill actually wanted to save the girl, the guy who scammed him out of $2K derogatorily called him a perv, the exploiter was her uncle, not to mention the involvement of the women (the one with the bag of clothes in her closet and the department store lady).
