CSI: Miami rerun: "Recoil" (3.21)

Okay, telling this very intense guy that his wife cheated on him? Even if I hadn’t seen how in a few hours he will have a gun to her head I would have thought this was a very bad idea.

You don’t write notes while you’re driving!!!

[Horatio’s first conversation with Amy] Am I the only person who doesn’t think of Horatio’s hair as being “red”? (But then, I’m the person who got confused by the carrot jokes in Anne of Green Gables [re: Anne’s red hair] because red != orange.)

What was up with Calleigh and Brad? She was so distracted, and while I felt bad for him when he was trying to help and she was all “I have my own system” I totally got her, but the blood vial? She basically told him to bring it and then got upset that he didn’t magically know what he was actually supposed to do.

Miami-Dade Library! Oh, Matilda.

Was Calleigh’s dad’s DUI a continuing subplot (witness Brad’s crack about “bailing out your dad,” for example) or was it something they made up just for this episode?

“You lost your place.”
“I can find it.”
I kinda wish we had left it with that line, sufficiently subtle. But no, we end with Horatio’s “Yeah you will.”

Anyway, I really liked how everything built and interrelated, and none of it really felt forced (excluding my problems with Calleigh).
