Happy Hump Day, y'all.

I keep feeling like it's Friday 'cause my workdays are full of nothing. I'm still trying to figure out MFA film stuff. Given my lack of sleep last night (despite tiredness) I worry that if I go tonight I'll sleep through whatever I go to, esp. since they're foreign language (Spirit of the Beehive redux, anyone?). [Edit: Oops, misread the calendar. The stuff I wanna go to is tomorrow.]

I like title song of Jewel's new album (Goodbye Alice in Wonderland), but my real love is for:
Other things wot are awesome:I now have "But, Mr. Adams" (via thistlerose's music post) and oh, listening to it... so much love. Allie, we've gotta watch that movie some time. (Also, listening to Mr. Adams I thought, "I totally know him, but from where?" IMDb to the rescue. This makes this even more awesome)
Franklin: Mr. Adams, I say you should write it;
To your legal mind and brilliance we defer.
Adams: Is that so? Well, if I'm the one to do it,
They'll run their quill pens through it;
I'm obnoxious and disliked, you know that, sir.
Franklin: Yes, I know.
Adams: Mr. Jefferson,
Jefferson: Mr. Adams, I have not seen my wife
for the past 6 months.
I beg of you Mr. Adams
Adams: 'And we solidly declare
that we will preserve our liberties
being with one mind
resolved to die free men
rather than to live slaves
Thomas Jefferson on the necessity of taking up arms, 1775.
Magnificent. You write 10 times better than any man in Congress.
Including me.
For a man of only 33 years
You have a happy talent of composition
and a remarkable felicity of expression.
Now then sir, will you be a patriot or a lover?
Jefferson: A lover.
Adams: No!
Jefferson: But I burn, Mr. A!
Adams: So do I, Mr. J!
Sherman: You do?
Livingston: You?
Franklin: John! Who'd have thought it?
