Wow, that was an almost-three-hour lunch.

I hadn't realized I'd stayed quite that long.

+ Yesterday when he left, Prof.B. said that if FormerUnitHead and Prof.D. didn't need anything from me I should just take the afternoon off.
+ This morning I accomplished everything I needed to in about an hour.
+ nevernever's in town. We had lunch outside, lovely weather. It was a good day to buy lunch, too; the Grille's open (now that the students are back) and they had Greek food (spanikopita, olives, hummus). We did the alternating telling long stories thing, but it really felt like a mutual conversation, and it was so easy to talk to her. Yay.

I got back and only had one e-mail: confirming my earlier request that a visitor be put on the parking list; and no voicemails... so I feel no guilt about not being around :)

Edit 20 minutes later: Aww, I got to give Eric the number of HBSP. [He was all "Where were you? I called you four times."] I do have a reason for being here this afternoon :)
