How I Met Your Mother 1.01 "Pilot" [watched on tape: 04 Sept. 2006]

Mmm, pilot.  Which often felt very familiar having seen the finale :)  [This is a good thing.  I like the echoing.]

I love Ted and Robin in that first interaction.

Robin: "My friend just got dumped, so tonight all men are 'The Enemy.' "
Ted: "If it would make your friend feel better, you can throw a drink in my face."
And I am no v. fond of olives as a metaphor now :)

Robin: "Would you like those olives with gin and vermouth?"
Ted: "Are you trying to get me drunk?"
Robin: "For starters."

I find it interesting that she is so clearly very attracted to him -- the way she keeps drawing towards him.

Robin: "Everyone thinks they're a good kisser."
Ted: "Oh, I've got references."

Yeah, I'm shallow and enjoy things like that Barney kissed Marshall to prove a point.

Taxi driver: "Woah woah woah. Did you hit her?"
Lilly: (laughs) "Hit me? Please! This guy can barely spank me in bed for fun."

Barney: "Just once, when I say 'Suit up' I wish you'd put on a suit."
Ted: "I did.  That one time."
Barney: "It was a blazer."

Barney: "You beautiful bastard, you suited up.  This is totally going in my blog!"
