Oh, my boy.

I'm usually here between fifteen and five minutes of nine. Eric, however, is by his own statement usually late. This morning I was catching up on LJ ('cause I'm not on the clock until 9) and the following e-mail popped up:

Subject: Did you catch heroes?

            What did you think?

“Did you see Heroes last night?” was totally gonna be my first question when I saw you today.

I felt like it started out really slowly, especially introducing all the characters, so I doubt that people who weren’t already committed to wanting to watch the show stuck around. However, I was engaged/interested enough to keep watching. My favorite was absolutely the indestructible girl, though I keep reading people online calling her emo/angsty, which wasn’t how I read her at all.

P.S. You’re here early for once.

Michelle and I walked to work this morning. That’s why I’m early. I was actually a pretty big fan of flying guy (not his brother though). I have yet to figure out what the power of mirror girl is – although I think I remember reading that she creates multiples of herself or something. I liked it, but the one thing I don’t like about serialized shows is for the most part you never get a conclusion to any of the storylines, they just go on and on and on…but overall I thought it was good. It seemed very epic and grand in scope. Even the cinematography was pretty good. I liked it. First half was wicked slow though.

Aww, that’s sweet. (You and Michelle I mean.) Beautiful morning today. If I had the half hour walk you have I would totally walk to work every morning (since I do that much walking in my morning commute anyway).

Flying guy was sweet. I wasn’t especially engaged by him, but I could become interested in his storyline depending on how they play the family dynamic.

After indestructible girl, I was most interested by painter guy (whose girlfriend is beautiful, though I’m not excited about the prospect of a love triangle plotline with flying guy).

I was unclear as to what mirror girl’s powers were as well. Multiples of herself makes sense. I really like her genius boychild.

The To Be Continued was an obvious hook to keep people watching, but given the blah blah blah epic talk (Star Wars-esque opening text roll = so cheesy) you’re probably right that the storylines are just gonna keep going. At least we can expect that by a few episodes in we’ll have more information about the characters even if we don’t get resolutions to their plotlines.

My note: Clunky interface. Might wanna start from this page instead.
