no rest for the... something

Ava called me around 6:30, said her sister was having an art showing at Little Stevie's Pizza on Boylston from 8:30-2:30.  I got over there around 9:30 and ended up staying for a couple hours.  Of all people, I saw John A. (from my high school graduating class) there.  Apparently he and Ava are friends.  I totally didn't even recognize him at first, in large part because I just never think about him.  Tonight I totally felt like, "If people saw me here now, they would understand why I self-identify as shy."  I did a lot of silences and minimal conversation, 'cause I just didn't know how to talk to these people -- Ava included, though I would really like to maintain a friendship with her.  Her latest idea is having a slumber party (her term) at my apartment, with Diana if she can find someone to watch Abigail.  It's good that I'm in a place now where I can just roll with that and don't feel the need to actually nail down plans.  In other news, I really enjoyed the college+ women and guy sitting across from me during part of my Red Line home.
