CSI 7.10 "Loco Motives" [watched on tape: 2006-12-22]

Okay, I definitely saw "Co-Executive Producer: Douglas Petrie" in the opening credits. [And IMDb does credit him for the teleplay for "Toe Tags" and "Living Legend."]

[Quotes lifted in part from tv.com]

foreman: "It's humane."
Grissom: [look]

foreman: "I got a lotta birds piling up outside. They're gonna die out there in this heat."
Brass: "Well it's not like they're gonna do any better in here."

Greg: "You got something?"
Grissom: "Yeah, I think so. One more chance." [mini-model]

Sara: "Manleigh Chickens."
Grissom: "What about it?"
Sara: "I'll let you know."
Grissom: [beat, confused look]
Sara: "See how it feels?"

"Jim... Cathy... Gilbert"

Hodges: "There's always room for it."
I called JELL-O. How does Nick not get that? Though I suppose one could argue that he's very uninterested in playing games and so he's not even really listening to Hodges.

Nick isn't freaking out at the ants?

Who recognizes people from photos of them dead and bloody?

Manleigh: "I sent his wife a Hallmark and a case of frozen chickens the day he died."

Wow that train model contains a lot of death.

Grissom taking models apart without gloves? This happens all the time in the show and never ceases to bother me.

Grissom: "I know what it's like to lose yourself in little things. After a while, it gets to you."

Of course as soon as John Doe hid his face I knew he was Max.

Max: "I'm the guy who buys his daughter a puppy for her eighth birthday. And the next day, he backs out of his driveway and..."
Brass: "Don't tell me you ran over the puppy."
Max: "No, I ran over my daughter. Twenty years later and she still walks funny."

Catherine, to Grissom: "You're tired."
Grissom: "Yeah."

Ernie O'Dell: "I'm a handyman. [...] A man has a right to an honest day's pay. Me, I service the machinery of death, so that people can eat. If that makes me evil, then so be it. I'm not the sociable type, I know that. Spend any amount of time around people, you get your heart broke. Treachery, hypocrisy, promise of love. Look into the mouth of a person and you'll find lies, wriggling there like maggots, waiting to grow wings. The world has gone mad. A man could kill from sun up, to sun down, and still his work would never be done."

My biggest problem with the wrapping up of the miniature killer arc is that we never find out what was up with the the doll face images in all the models.
