How I Met Your Mother 2.20 "Showdown" [2007-04-30]

I liked Barney's spiel about The Price Is Right, but I had difficulty suspending disbelief that he could *still* believe his mother's clearly sarcastic throwaway line that Bob Barker was his father.

My biggest complaint was the continuity gaffe of Marshall not wanting his mom to hear about him eating junk food. Hello, "Belly Full of Turkey" (1.09) with the "salad" that contained tons of junk food, including Funyuns. (We get Lily's line about "I don't think you can call it a salad if it was *Funyuns* in it," and Marshall says, "I *am* the Funyuns" and talks about how important his family is to him but he doesn't wanna become exactly like them, or exactly like Lily's family either, and they agree, and it's very sweet.)

However, Marshall wearing that black fedora at his wedding is for the win.
